INTERNATIONAL CROP CIRCLES OF 2000 |

Virginia Beach, VA, USA. Reported 12th June.

Virginia Beach circle confirmed: it's a fairly large ringed circle (waiting for dimensions), pathway going thru, ending in a smaller circle with a grapeshot nearby, in a 70-acre wheat field. Occurred: night of June l0 or 11; Found: June 12. In Virginia Beach, VA (don't have exact location yet). Owner not happy....circle is being attributed to vandals at this time. UPDATE
A few more details regarding the Virginia Beach, VA (USA) crop circle. It's an approximately 80' long (overall ) pictogram, comprised of a 20' center circle of standing crop, surrounded by a l0'-wide flattened ring; 2 pathways, about 5-6' wide and approximately 15' long go off on opposite sides, one pathway ending in an 8' diameter circle, the other pathway simply ending. There is also, apparently, a grapeshot or small circle nearby the main formation. Crop is wheat; formation apparently occurred the night of June 12 and was found on the morning of June 13th. The ring is laid counter-clockwise; lay in pathways heads toward the main central ring. Fieldworker reports black "smut" (mold) on his clothing from walking in the field; he also reports that the owner is not at all happy, and is convinced that this is a case of vandalism--owner has refused permission to sample & does not want anyone in his field. For this reason I omit the precise location at this time.
