Australian Crop Circles
The first unexplained Crop Circle to be discovered in a suburban wheat field in the Adelaide area of Australia was sighted by airline passenger Alison Kylie Light.
She knew what it was, having seen the phenomenon on television and hearing about Crop Circles in the UK.

The Crop Circle was fifty feet across, and there was no evidence to suggest that there was any human intervention. In fact, UFO investigator Colin Norris` conclusion that it was Extra Terrestrial Activity: "the circle was not done by normal human people".

This is not an isolated case there has been a string of Crop Circles over the last decade. Colin Norris is convinced its an UFO:- "the time has come to face up to the evidence and take air heads out of the sand."
Scientists have been baffled by the mysterious sounds, which have been recorded by Walt moss in the Crop circles themselves. These high Pitched sounds in remote Crop Circles, far away from civilisation have been analysed using computers. Their secret remains unknown. An Airline pilot, John Orkatell, has been involved in leading Crop Circle research in the remote areas of Australia since the beginning.
The first Australian Crop Circle was discovered in 1940 and since then they have appeared in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. The hot, dry, wheat country, known as "Sunset country," an area of 10,000 square kilometres, is a remote desert wilderness, hostile to farming, the nearest town is two hours away. The Aboriginals have lived in this area for forty thousand years. It is a land of mystery and legends; none more intriguing than Crop Circles.
Rex and Nancy Jolly are local farmers. In the summer of 1989, as the harvesters were gathering the bumper Wheat crop, they came across Crop Circles. After having taken photographs they contacted expert John Orkatell. His investigations concluded that the Wheat was undamaged. The stalks had been bent, intricately woven even, but not broken.

The soil around the Crop Circle was sandy and soft. However, the soil in the Circle itself was as hard as a rock. This soil was sent to a University in Melbourne for analysis. Nothing unusual came to light, except the unusual fact that there were few bacteria in the sample. On closer inspection of the site, it was noticed that there was an unexplained magnetic charge in one corner of the farm, where the circles were formed. John Orkatell pinpointed the spot and more tests were carried out.

An iron ring was discovered, which gave off a mysterious magnetic charge. The mystery remains unsolved.

Yet more evidence was available which raised questions about the Circle. Sheep would not go near it, and strange noises from the centre of the circle were recorded by the farmer.

The piercing sounds quite utterly made the farmer sick. John Orkatell studied the computer breakdown of the sound. It was similar to that recorded by investigators Colin Andrews and Pat Delgado with the BBC in the early 1990s.
Fifteen years ago, on a clear, still evening, farmer Eric Wilson and his two daughters witnessed a blinding light, which lasted several minutes. They saw a large, dome shaped object in the sky, which suddenly disappeared. Could this light have been linked to the crop circle phenomenon, or is it merely a huge coincidence?
According to the scientists, only the following conclusions can be treated as facts. Crop circles are not created by vortexes or wind draughts, because the wheat is not damaged; they are not the result of fireballs, because there is no charring and animals are not responsible because there are no tracks. Only one thing is certain. Crop circles do exist. They have been formed in the UK, USA, Canada and Australia. Who or what is creating them we cannot say. Until we can see the process as it occurs and put a theory to it, crop circles and their formation will remain something of an enigma.
We are asking our Australian contacts to provide anymore information (if possible) on these events mentioned in the article. Any dates when these formations and circles appeared, and possible contacts for further information like John Orkatell. This will provide a more comprehensive catalogue of Australian reports. The events above are very important for the appearance of the phenomenon in Australia.
