Reconstruction of the 2011 Knoll Down formation | ||

| Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines. |

| Construct the inscribed hexagon (regular 6-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing to the right. |
| 3. |
| Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 1, pointing up. |
| 4. |
| Construct a circle centered at the rightmost angular point of hexagon 2, passing through the upper righthand angular point of hexagon 3. |
| 5. |
| Copy circle 4 to the lower righthand angular point of hexagon 2. |
| 6. |
| Copy circle 4 another four times, to the other angular points of hexagon 2. |
| 7. |
| Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 4 at the lefthand side. |

| Copy circle 7 to the center of circle 4. |
| 9. |
| Copy circle 7 another five times, to the centers of circles 5 and 6. |
| 10. |
| Copy circle 4 to the center of circle 1. |
| 11. |
| Construct a circle centered at the lower righthand angular point of hexagon 3, tangent to circle 8 at the nearest side. |

| Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 11 at the lefthand side. |

| Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 7, pointing down. |
| 14. |
| Construct a circle concentric to circle 11, tangent to the rigthand side of triangle 13. |

| Copy circle 14 five times, to the other angular points of hexagon 3. |

| Draw the connecting line between the centers of circles 1 and 11. |
| 17. |
| Copy circle 11 to the intersection of line 16 and the righthand side of triangle 13. |

| Construct a circle concentric to circle 14, tangent to circle 17 at the righthand side. |

| Copy circle 18 five times, to the centers of circles 15. |
| 20. |
| Construct a circle centered at the lower lefthand intersection of circles 5 and 10, passing through the upper lefthand intersection of circles 8 and 18. See detail. |

| Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 10, with one angular point at the center of circle 20. |

| Copy circle 20 five times, to the other angular points of hexagon 21. |

| Construct a circle centered at the intersection of the righthand side of hexagon 3 and the horizontal centerline, tangent to circle 1 at the righthand side. |

| Copy circle 23 to the center of circle 1. |
| 25. |
| Circles 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 12, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 22 and 24, are used for the final reconstruction. |

| Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself. |

| Colour all areas corresponding to standing... |

| ...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2011 Knoll Down formation. |
