Reconstruction of the 2010 Guys Cliffe formation | ||

| Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines. |

| Construct the circumscribed hexagon (regular six-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing to the right. |

| Construct the circumscribed circle of hexagon 2. |
| 4. |
| Copy circle 3 two times, to the intersections of circle 1 and the vertical centerline. |

| Copy circle 3 to the righthand intersection of circles 4. |
| 6. |
| Draw the connecting line between the righthand intersections of circle 1 and circles 4. |
| 7. |
| Construct a circle centered at the intersection of line 6 and the horizontal centerline, passing through the upper intersection of circle 1 and the vertical centerline. |

| Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to line 6. |
| 9. |
| Construct a circle concentric to circle 7, passing through the upper intersection of circle 8 and the vertical centerline. |

| Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of circle 1 and the vertical centerline, tangent to circle 9 at the upper lefthand side. |

| Construct a circle concentric to circle 5, tangent to circle 10 at the upper lefthand side. |

| Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 8, pointing to the right. |

| Copy circle 9 five times, to the other angular points of hexagon 12. |

| Construct a circle centered at the lefthand intersection of cirlce 9 and the horizontal centerline, passing through the upper intersection of the lowermost two circles 13. |

| Copy circle 10 to the righthand intersection of circle 14 and the horizontal centerline. |

| Construct a circle concentric to circle 14, tangent to circle 15 at the lefthand side. |

| Copy circle 7 five times, to the centers of circles 13. |

| Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the center of circle 5. |

| For clarity, some results of previous steps are left out temporarily. Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 18, pointing to the right. |

| Copy circle 5 five times, to the other angular points of hexagon 19. |

| Copy circle 11 five times, to the centers of circles 20. |

| Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the center of circle 14. |

| Copy circle 16 five times, to the intersections (tangent-points) of circle 22 and circles 13. |

| Copy circle 14 five times, to the centers of circles 23. |

| Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the upper intersection of circle 11 and the vertical centerline. |

| Circles 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17, 20, 21, 23, 24 and 25, are used for the final reconstruction. |

| Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself. |

| Colour all areas corresponding to standing... |

| ...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2010 Guys Cliffe formation. |
