The phoenix bird: an ancient Egyptian symbol for death and
re-birth of our Sun
A new and
exciting crop picture appeared at Yatesbury on June 12, 2009,
only hundreds of meters away from where a “dragonfly” appeared
on June 3 (see
yatesbury2009).
It seems to provide a clever and artistic exposition of an
ancient Egyptian myth, where a new, young phoenix bird (upper
centre) is shown “rising from the ashes” of an old phoenix bird,
whose tail feathers are burning:

The Egyptians,
among other ancient cultures on Earth, used the life cycle of
that phoenix as a cultural myth for the death and re-birth of
our Sun:
“The phoenix is a mythical bird with a colourful plumage, and a
tail of gold and scarlet. It has a 500 to 1000-year life cycle.
Near the end of its life, it builds a nest of twigs that later
ignites. Both the nest and the bird then burn fiercely, and are
reduced to ashes. From those ashes, a new phoenix bird emerges”
(see
Phoenix_(mythology).
As further
support for this idea, we can see at the very top of that crop
picture (above left) a small, circular, three-fold symmetric
symbol for our “Sun”, which seems akin to the “solar” crop
picture that appeared at New Farm on June 5, 2009 (see
newfarm). Why
would anyone draw our Sun with three-fold symmetry? Simply
because it rises at 60o on the horizon, then proceeds
by noon to 180o, and finally sets at 300o,
for most days close to the summer solstice, when viewed in the
northern hemisphere on Earth.
Field orientation towards the west-northwest matches sunset in
early July
Now the
uppermost “Sun” symbol from that new crop picture points in the
field toward the west-northwest, or close to where our Sun will
set at 308o on July 7, only a few weeks from now:

This would
seem to suggest some relation between the new “phoenix” crop
picture, and an upcoming date of July 7, 2009 that has been
predicted for a major solar storm (see
waylandsmithy
or
yatesbury).
Their “dragonfly” picture of June 3 pointed due west in the same
field, only hundreds of meters away.
A time code in the phoenix’s feathers?
If our old Sun
is going to die soon (like an old phoenix), while a new Sun is
going to be born (like a new phoenix), when might all of this be
scheduled to happen?
Well, if we
count the number of feathers in that “phoenix” crop picture, we
can find 12 feathers in each spread wing, plus one head feather
slightly above, to give 25 for the upper part of the picture.
Similarly, we can find 16 spread feathers in its broad tail,
plus one anomalously crossed feather, to give 17 for the lower
part of the picture. Hence the total number of feathers for the
entire picture equals 25 + 17 = 42.
That matches
the number of full Moons (42) between July 7, 2009 and December
13, 2012, which is the last full Moon before the Mayan Long
Count calendar ends: see
MoonPhase.
The phoenix symbol from ancient Egypt: a previous
extra-terrestrial reference in the 1960’s?
Even though
the “phoenix” is an obscure and long-forgotten symbol for the
death and re-birth of our Sun, this may not be the first time in
our modern era when extra-terrestrials have shown it to us.
Forty years ago, Raymond Fowler and Allen Hynek wrote a book
called “The Andreasson Affair” about a multiple-witness alien
abduction from 1967:

Betty
Andreasson, a housewife from Massachusetts, supposedly underwent
a series of alien abductions in the late 1960’s along with
several members of her family. During those contacts, she was
seemingly given much detailed information about the
extra-terrestrials who are currently visiting Earth. In one
case, she was even shown the vision of a
phoenix,
which is a mythical bird that rises from its own ashes!
That arcane
symbol would have been instantly recognizable to an Egyptian
philosopher from fourth-century Alexandria, but meant nothing to
a twentieth-century New England housewife. Their image of a
phoenix was meant to inform her of humanity’s ability to
rise from
the ashes of its own destruction. Apparently this
is due to happen sooner, rather than later. Betty later
commented:
“I believe those beings were angels. We are aware of the
material world, yet fail to see its spiritual counterpart. The
extra-terrestrial beings I have had contact with say that they
love mankind. They are trying to warn us of upcoming problems
that threaten our planet. Man and his greed have ignored the
signs of distress, and continue to toy with the delicate balance
of our environment.”
”He says my race will not believe me until much time has passed.
They have come to help the human race. Yet unless man will
accept them, we will not be saved. All things have been planned.
They have advanced technologies that we could use. Many riddles
will be given to us. They choose to remain hidden, because of
the widespread corruption on Earth today. He keeps telling me of
what is going to happen: they are going to come to Earth. Many
will be afraid, while others will be astonished. Yet some will
not be afraid, because they have overcome their fears”

The Emerald Formula from ancient Egypt was shown in East Field
on August 25, 2008
A second
modern reference to ancient Egypt can be found in the book
“Phoenix Star” by Kiernan Antares. It tells in fictional form
about how humans will rise spiritually in late 2012, by
following an ancient formula for spiritual transformation called
the
Emerald Formula, first written down on a green
tablet by Thoth in Egypt around 3000 BC. It was later studied by
Alexander the Great, Aristotle and Isaac Newton (see
Phoenix).
Interestingly
enough, a seven-fold-star symbol for that Emerald Formula
appeared in East Field on August 25, 2008 (see
eastfield2008d).
That led Ms. Antares to write:
“The
Circlemakers delivered an important message on August 25 of this
year at East Field, which substantiates the importance of that
Emerald Formula, and encourages me to continue sharing its
insights. It is time to align with a higher vision: are you
ready?”
(see
kiernanantares).
In a
subsequent essay, she discussed an apparent message given to her
by the Circle makers, through psychic transmission to one of the
researchers involved, which led to a correct solution for that
particular picture (see
kiernanantares).
Both of these
examples suggest that the extra-terrestrials who are currently
making crop pictures in England have been with us for a long
time now, say at least 5000 years. They know much about our
past, and have serious concerns for our future.

PSS A
remarkable oil painting from 1967 shows both of our “new” and
“old” Suns, along with some “flames” as shown in the 2009
“phoenix”, plus many fine details of the ASCII-coded disc that
appeared in 2002 at Crabwood (see
martinkeitel).
The surprising existence of that painting, and likewise Betty
Andreasson’s vision of a phoenix from 1967, suggest that our
crop artist friends may have planned the new pictures which they
are showing to us now, over forty years ago.
