I've been awed by the complexity of
the weaves this year ,and this particular one tells a simple
but amazing story. Many of us in the science community have been
alarmed by the length of the solar minimum, now almost twice its
"normal" length. This particular glyph says elegantly that what
goes around will come around. The centre circle's weave
looks much like the sun's surface as it has been now for almost
30 days.

One end weave shows activity in the form of
sunspots; the other end weave shows what I can only imagine to
be the surface activity on the star prior to a CME. I would have
to go back thru SOHO's images over the last 500 days to see if
there is any greater story to be told.
