Reconstruction of the
2009 Knoll Down formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct a "two-points" circle (defined by the end-points of a centerline) between the center of circle 1 and its lefthand intersection with the horizontal centerline.

3. Copy circle 2 to the center of circle 1.

4. Construct a "two-points" circle between the lefthand intersections of circles 1 and 3 with the horizontal centerline.

5. Copy circle 4 to the righthand intersection of circle 1 and the horizontal centerline.

6. Copy circle 4 three times, to the other intersections of circle 1 with the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

7. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 5 at the lefthand side.

8. Construct the circumscribed square of circle 7, sides horizontal and vertical.

9. Construct the circumscribed circle of square 8.

10. Construct a circle centered at the lefthand intersection of circle 1 and the horizontal centerline, tangent to circle 9 at the lefthand side.

11. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 10 at the righthand side.

12. Construct a circle concentric to circle 5, tangent to circle 10 at the righthand side.

13. Copy circle 12 three times, to the centers of circles 6.

14. Copy circle 1 four times, to the outer mutual intersections of circles 12 and 13.

15. Construct a circle concentric to circle 5, tangent to circle 10 at the lefthand side.

16. Copy circle 15 three times, to the centers of circles 6.

17. Circles 3, 5, 6, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 are used for the final steps.

18. Remove all redundant parts not visible within the formation itself.

19. Colour all areas corresponding to standing...

20. ...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2009 Knoll Down formation.

21. The final result, matched with the aerial image.
