SOUTH FIELD HAS GROWN!

Visitors flock
in to experience this beautiful formation from all over the
world!
I was amazed to
see so many people coming to visit this wonderful event. Crowded
buses turned up along with many cars. There was a real buzz
within this formation as everyone was really taken aback by the
sheer scale and intrinsic beauty of this formation.
This
extraordinary addition from the original six swallows to the
present twelve still remains within the enclosure which the
outline can still be seen beneath the wheat crop.
|

Swallows return to nest in
ancient enclosure!
One can clearly see the outline around this formation of an ancient
enclosure beneath the wheat crop.
Once again the Swallows have returned to the fields of Wiltshire to
bring their ecological message to us all.

10-9-8 days until a solar eclipse on
August 1st, 2008
The
first part of a new crop picture at South
Field appeared on July 22nd which is 10 days
before a solar eclipse on August 1st. Then a
second part appeared on July 23rd, which is
9 days before August 1st. Several "rays"
within that same picture showed 10, 9 or 8
segments, suggesting a countdown of the kind
10-9-8 days from July 22nd to August 1st.
Furthermore that crop picture seems to be
oriented in the field toward the North
Northeast or 20 to 25 degrees, thereby
matching Lizzano, Italy of June 12th or
Eastfield of July 9th. On August 1st, our
Sun will eclipse at a far Northern latitude
of 70 N where sunrise will lie close to 20
or 25 degrees.
The 12
"birds" shown at Southfield could represent
the 12 months of any eclipse year. Thus we
would now lie in the 12th month of our
current eclipse year (see bird with a
clipped wing) leaving just 10-9-8 days to go
until eclipse! Finally the new crop picture
was apparently signed nearby with a small
snake-like symbol similar to Crabwood of
2002. No plants were growing there, just
bare white soil. Hence this crop picture
was probably planned last winter when the
soil could have been treated to prevent
plants from growing in spring.

The
additional swallows which completed the design on the 23rd
July turned this already graceful formation, into one
of the most awe inspiring formations we have seen in recent
years. What made this moment very special on capturing the
images on the second phase, were a flock of Swallows
that flew directly over the formation, as if in appreciation
of what was below them!

Although we have yet another fantastic and
intricate crop circle on Manor Farm, Alton Barnes, could we please
remind all visitors to respect that it is a working farm at the
busiest time of the year. Consequently we would ask that all
visitors stick to walking down the tramlines and not cutting across
paths through the field. Please note that the grass strips around
the edge of the fields are actually there for conservation purposes
and are not a substitute car park! There is plenty of other more
suitable places to park vehicles, even if it does mean walking a
little further. Most importantly please do not block farm and field
entrances with vehicles. Any organised tours to the formation should
be booked and arranged in advance with the farmer.

Hi Mark, to let you know I was on the road this
morning (22/07/2008) at 4.30am and this formation was
not in the field at this time, a lovely clear sky you could see very
clearly, went back teatime and there's no way it could of
missed this if it had been there. UPDATE
23/07/2008 Hi
Mark,7.30 this morning coming back over Alton hill the new pattern
looked bigger, just seen the new pictures on the site, and it's
going into 5 tramlines now.

In regards to the above image on your
website. Somebody commented that the second phase contained broken
symmetry. Others noted it appeared the swallows were flying away from
each other.
I think it's true that the birds are expanding the image. But the
message is possibly about how to compress or decompress visually that
which we see to, see the higher fractal universe in a "converted for our
eyes to see, and consequently open our consciousness to the next higher
level" type guide.
I like to take pictures of clouds using my 16mm wide angle lens. This
adds a degree of distortion to the image, especially towards the outer
edges.
I see this crop circle as the same three circular patterns stretched to
explain their scale & size. Take three round balloons. Print the first
phase image on it so that it shows perfectly free of distortion. Laying
flat on the ground side by side. Now, tie a string/knot around the tip
of each one & pull them tight. Two of the three balloons will
subordinate themselves beneath the centre one. Meanwhile the image
begins to distort exponentially while stretching.
I think this crop circle is trying to explain something about the nature
of spatial relationships & the net result of seeing objects with
differing elements of pressure/force applied to them, & from varying
vantage points.
This sort of makes me think of looking glasses as well. The Earths
atmosphere being an optical lens.

It was
rather warm when I was here, the crop is ripening well and
the formation was swarming with visitors. These were chatty
people which can be a bit distracting when you are trying to
take photographs.
This is an
exciting formation to be in, it seems to flow maybe it is
the movement of the swallows making the air eddy. The lays
and over lays are really good, the inter connections flow
into each other nicely and the walls are nice and crisp.
There is some damage from the volume of traffic through the
formation but nothing distracting.
On entering
the formation there is a strange tangle of stems on the edge
of one of the wings, don't know what has caused this.

The Forum is
discussing Orbs. So I enclose the following photo taken with a
disposable camera at Approx 8am on the morning the South Field
formation was created , I have enlarged the picture and enclose
these three photos also.

I
don’t have any explanation for the other circles (even if I am
interested in for about 20 years). But this time, I have almost
no doubt about what this one represents: “The Birds Nest of
China, start of Olympic Games
08/08/08 at 08:08:08 pm”! But: who made it? To whom? To say
“don’t miss the event”? Or to warn about something? Or just to print
an artistic figure to represent it? Questions are still open…

Beautiful
lights after visiting the Swallows at Alton Priors
I would like
to share the amazing balls of bright white light
(orange is street lamp) that appeared on my photos,
which I took in my garden after paying a wonderful
visit to the beautiful formation at Alton Priors.

The South Field,
Alton Priors crop circle of 22nd July 2008, after much thought has
prompted me to write. Swallows, migratory birds, one of which is
defective, dragging or spreading something behind them as they fly
in opposite directions, added to which the crop circle itself grew /
spread out as it were over time, and the 8's in the formation, plus
the gestation of cells content, are of concern. Should there be a
bird release planned at the Olympic celebrations, they should be
cancelled. It would be an ideal opportunity for those wishing to
cast the Hosts of the Olympics in a bad light, to do so with the
release of a sick bird, that no doubt would have ID, ringed, and
could be traced back to source. Sometimes a crop circle can be
exactly what it appears to be, and is not a math formula etc.
Prevention in such cases is important as there is so much at steak
with such issues.

Not sure if you guys
are aware but there was lots of military activity over the Alton
Priors formations today (28-07-08) A Dutch tourist captured on
video one of the helicopters chasing three orbs!!!). Quite
extraordinary to say the least. Incredible !! Incredible !! Just
simply Incredible....
Please find image attachment which I have received from the Dutch
Tourist who witnessed and filmed the event over Alton Priors
28-07-08. The lady concerned has expressed concerns about releasing
the footage as it has military involvement and wishes to stay
unknown.

The military
activity happened on the 28-07-08
not the 28-08-08 as stated on the above image.

THE QUESTION
After
this formation grew larger, what happened
to this little detail that was located just outside
one corner: |
 |
Another
point I find intriguing is the broken
symmetry in the expanded version: |
 |
This detail
appears in the bottom left quadrant of the picture posted on
your site. Perhaps there is more here than meets the eye.

THE ANSWER
Just for clarity: The 'T' shaped mark seen in
images of the South Field formation has been there for
months, it did not arrive with the formation. It's a bald
patch in the field caused by farm equipment and or
fertiliser - this kind of mark is not uncommon. As such we
did digitally edit it from our pictures as we believe it has
nothing whatsoever to do with the formation and that it
distracts the eye. However, we apologise for any confusion
caused and hope this note clarifies things.
Steve & Karen Alexander
The new crop formation at Alton Priors is without a doubt
in my my mind telling us about a spectacular formation which
will occur on the 08-08-08. I will eat my hat if I'm
wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep up the good work guys.

Newest Crop Glyph -- Cell Division
The newest crop glyph has a clear
ecological component, with an explicit evocation of the
barn swallow or purple martin motif, and the way these
birds love to soar and swoop over the farm fields in the
summer.
I believe it also makes a clear allusion to mitosis
(cell division), in particular the telophase, the final
phase of cell division. Please look at the telophase
illustration at this link:
HERE
Now look at the crop glyph, in its lateral orientation,
and it looks to me that there are three, stylized, but
easily recognizable depictions of the telophase stage of
mitosis.
One possible interpretation is that something is being
gestated, and we see the very earliest stage in the
embryo formation, right after fertilization, just as the
embryo has the first cellular division. Maybe this is a
way of saying that the earth has been impregnated and
will bring forth new life.
This line of thought may be a fertile area for further
inquiry. There are likely to be other meanings encoded
in this glyph, as well.
UPDATE
By the way, I am not surprised that the
formation grew overnight. That is what embryos do, they
grow! The early, multi-cellular stage of an embryo is
called a
morula and
morula.
Notice the faint outline of a membrane around the
growing morula. This crop glyph is also inside a sort of
membrane. In one of the aerial shots you can see that it
has been laid down inside the faint outline of an
ancient structure that was once there, centuries ago,
but that has been worn away and eroded down with the
passage of time. You could also conceptualize this
visible outline in the field as a sort of egg shell,
inside which a baby bird is now gestating.
Given the emphatic avian motif, I suspect that we are
dealing here with a distinctly avian intelligence, maybe
with the phylogenetic over-mind of the birds of this
planet. Who knows? But clearly the message is that a
seed has been planted and fertilized and it is now in an
early, embryonic stage and growing. We shall see what
"hatches out" in the coming days, months and years.
Will this formation grow again? Stay tuned!
