Reconstruction of the
2008 Liddington Castle formation |
| 1. |
| Draw a circle. Draw the horizontal and vertical centerlines.
| 2. |
| Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 1, pointing down.
| 3. |
| Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 1, pointing up.
| 4. |
| Construct a circle centered at the mid-point of the lower side of triangle 3, tangent to both lower sides of triangle 2.
| 5. |
| Copy circle 4 six times, to the six mutual intersections of triangles 2 and 3.
| 6. |
| Draw the connecting line between the lower intersection of the upper righthand circle 5 and the righthand side of triangle 3, and the upper intersection of the lower righthand circle 5 and the righthand side of triangle 2.
| 7. |
| Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to line 6.
| 8. |
| Construct a circle centered at the lower intersection of circle 1 and the vertical centerline, tangent to both lower circles 5 at the upper sides.
| 9. |
| Copy circle 8 two times, to the other angular points of triangle 2.
| 10. |
| Copy circle 8 three times, to the angular points of triangle 3.
| 11. |
| Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the mutual intersections of circles 8, 9 and 10.
| 12. |
| Construct a circle concentric to circle 8, tangent to circle 11 at the lower side.
| 13. |
| Copy circle 12 two times, to the centers of circles 9.
| 14. |
| Triangles 2 and 3, and circles 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 and 13, are used for the final reconstruction.
| 15. |
| Remove all parts not visible in the formation itself.
| 16. |
| Colour all areas corresponding to standing...

| 17. |
| ...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2008 Liddington Castle formation.
