REPORT:
This pattern was
first reported on September 29th 2008 by Tammy Tamx, a
contributor to the CCC forum, which is where Tamx first posted the
images of the pattern. By the 30th of September Tammy Tamx
had been altered to Tammi Paxman on the forum. Photo credit to that name
above. Adolescent use of pseudonyms has become curious indeed.
Paxman says “It
looks to be about 700 feet in length”! When measuring the central axis
of the pattern the tape pulled tight at 700 feet.
Paxman says
there is an “interesting bar-code at the edge of the field too”.
The “bar-code”
is a strip of irregular seeding of the maize plants. No crops are laid
in this area of the field.
On the ground
the cross is generally a mess.. All the laid plants are severely
damaged, in some areas the plants are smashed and dead or dyeing on the
ground. Similar physical damage effects to the plants were also very
apparent on the “construction lines” that run under the pattern
throughout.

“Digital Barcode”
September 28, 2008 email to Earthfiles:
“The new cross in maize on September 28, 2008, appears at first
glance to be authentic, and shows a ‘barcode signature’ off to one
side. It might be ASCII, since its first few digits (reading left to
right, standing near the cross) look like 00100000, which was a
‘word spacer’ in the Crabwood message: [ See

This new formation is very impressive. It is
located under the Ridgeway, Avebury. It is in Maize crop that stands
about 6-8ft tall. It measures 200m in length, and 150m across. The
discs that make up the formation are 20m, 15m, and 10m in diameter.
Some of the crop remains standing and continues to grow, some is
flat on the ground, still growing, and some is either broken or
uprooted, lying dead on the ground, though this may be partly due to
being trampled by visitors and animals. 'scrape' marks are apparent
on the stems in a number of places throughout the formation, though
again, this could be from visitors boots.
This giant of a formation is well worth visiting. It is fantastic to
have such beautiful formations appearing as late at this. The sheer
size and complexity of this years late formations in maize has never
been seen before in the UK. The whole experience of locating a maize
formation in a field due to its height is an unusual experience
indeed, with the plants towering over you. This may be the last
formation of the 2008 season, which started in, and ended in
Avebury....then again, maybe the season will continue, and produce
more of these fascinating patterns in the landscape.

'There were many amazing
facets to this stunning formation, not the least
being the sheer size of it. Also the location of
the single plants left standing, almost like
markers; for example in the first circle at the
lower end of the cross, where a single very tall
plant was pointing to the field between this
cross and Avebury stone circle, passing directly
through last years stunning formation of a
triple yin yang in wheat (July 29th 2007).
On the ground, although a
great deal of the plants were broken and
smashed, i found many which weren't, and the
whole of the ground area covered by the cross
was awash with chamomile, pansies, poppies, and
other wild flowers, all growing strong.
I have tried to enclose
pictures a bit different from those already
posted, showing leaf anomalies such as splitting
and scorching, that i have found in two of the
five sweet corn 'circles' visited so far this
season (this may be a 'normal happening, perhaps
someone with more knowledge could help me out
here?) Also I've included some overhead pole
shots, to try and give an idea of the sheer size
of this powerful statement. The first five
pictures enclosed were taken by a friend who had
visited this formation with me, so credit to
Mishi for these.
All in all, it was a most
humbling experience, walking into and through
this majestic cross of sweet corn, on the last
day of September. I hope the sweet energy of it
reaches out to touch all of our lives.

COMMENTS
I have read the very interesting
comments of the researcher Wiz-Oz posted Thursday
October 2, 2008, on your forum about the crop circle of
Avebury Down reported 28th September 2008:
"(1) the cross formation has circles which are in
size in octaves 3-6-12"
It has written that 3x6x12 = 216 but she has
not written that 216 = 6x6x6 !
If the measures of Wiz-Oz are
correct, 666 associated with the barcode like form in
the maize field is a very important information !

Here
is a relation to the Avebury circle. The bonding atoms of
Ethers See also the pictures below. Could also
relate the the physical properties of Sodium Chloride and
Magnesium oxide. This could also relate to the molecular
make up of a type on cancerous growth.

I believe the barcode to be intentional, the
circle creators can plan well in advance, and the
http://www.earthfiles.com/ interpretation is
perfect. The formation is I think an arrow, I am a Christian it
does look like a Cross, but I think it is an Arrow because it is
pointing towards Herepath or Green Street, in an Uphill
direction at the corner of the field which is a triangle too. I
thought that it was a formation of atoms, the arrowhead being
Methane atoms, a Carbon centre and 4 Hydrogens. Methane is
usually illustrated with a tilt on one connection. There are
many images of Methane Atoms in Google Images. I tried to
ascertain what the other 6 atoms were, looking at sites such as
Atom Sizes in Google Images it looks like it might be Helium
(please correct me if I'm wrong and edit this) I think the
Circle Event is saying Beware of Hot Air on Green Issues.
Bring the Tree of Life to life, just do it.

The 'bar code' portion at the
Cross and Bar Code Crop Circle site at Avebury down
near Avebury, Wiltshire was interesting. According
to Charles R. Mallett
The
'bar-code' is a strip of irregular seeding of
the maize plants. No crops are laid in this
area of the field."
By whose
design? You know, it struck me that when viewed at
a different angle, the 'bar code' looks strikingly
similar to a strand of DNA. Just a thought.
