Reconstruction of the

I visited Westwoods formation today, not the most easy to access. After finding a way into the field it is quite a walk to the formation but on reaching it the walk is worth it. Some of the crop is recovering but the lay is good. I arrived at the small circle and followed a narrow way to a large flattened area which had some nice swirls and edges. I don't think it has had many visitors and it has a good feel about it. I couldn't really say what the formation represented and look forward to overhead pictures.

Just another little colourful picture to help explain the meaning of Westwoods from June 16? The small unlabelled "half disk" symbol there is meant to represent our Sun as "halfway gone" on the summer solstice of June 20, 2007.

I have attached some pictures taken from The West Wood , Lockeridge formation, taken on Saturday afternoon. Not a greatly visited spot due to the rain but struggled out there and got soaked for it!.

Its a fairly small but looks quite precise formation. You cannot really get a good overall picture of the pattern which is quite confusing, it seems a difficult one to piece together for some reason.

I eagerly await an aerial - in recent years I've found the small and traditional formations to be the ones I like the most.

The lay is intricate in places and I found some great examples of bent stalks.

Multi directional lay and interwoven parts.

At the end of one of the standing arcs I found 5 or so stalks twisted together, around each other.
