The whole Pewsey Whitehorse formation, August 4, 2007, exudes a feeling of completeness? It is done!?, and then goes on to give us hints, through the symbolic arrangement of basic shapes, circle,
triangle, rectangle and crescent, and the use of meaningful numbers, 9 and 3 especially, about what is it that is? done/being done?.  It is a picture of the great work as it progresses on Earth, in our lives and in relationship to the Universe.  Another significant point in the understanding of this formation is the actual meaning of the place name.

The Whitehorse is the steed upon which Kalki, the tenth and final avatar in the Hindu tradition, arrives to bring in the New Creation which annihilates the Darkness of existence as it has been known. Taking the Whitehorse location for part of the  meaning, we have the idea of the avatar of the New Creation arriving by white horse, on the earth of our present, old creation.  A change is in the wings.

Starting from the Centre of the formation ( circle/dot, crescent/disc, and triangle within the circle), I will attempt to communicate what is just coming to my consciousness as I have been studying this formation and as I have just come upon the work of Carl Johan Calleman who has proposed an interpretation of the Mayan Calendar. From there, I will discuss the inner 9-pointed star, the organic rectangles and the three small triangles as well as the nine outer triangles and their connection to the Nineworlds of the Mayan Calendar and the whole dynamic of the unfolding of evolution for the last16.4 billion years.

The circle is so universal, primal and all-encompassing that it  is easy to see it represents everything, totality.  In Hindu tradition it stands for the Round of Existence in the phenomenal world.  With flames (perhaps the triangles around the outside could be considered flames) the circle becomes Prakriti that which evolves, produces, brings forth.  An arrangement of concentric circles  is both solar and lunar; it represents different states of degrees in manifest existence. The circle with a dot at its centre depicts a complete cycle and cyclic perfection. It is associated with the number 10, as is Kalki, the tenth avatar.  The circle symbol in this formation deals with creation as it is manifested to us now and also with the idea of creation in a state of change

The triangle, another primary shape, is a symbol for the Great Mother.   More recently, the triangle pointed upwards is the masculine energy symbol and the downward pointing one is the feminine energy symbol. The central triangle of the Pewsey formation is not really defined in a polar way. What is very important regarding this triangle is that it is a triangle within a circle, meaning 'the plane of forms within the circle of eternity'.  'The area  within this the triangle is the common hearth of them all and is named' the Plain of Truth?, in which the Reason, the forms and patterns of all things that have been, and that shall be, are stored up not to be disturbed; and Eternity dwells round them, from whence time, like a stream from a fountain, flows down upon the worlds? (Plutarch in Cooper 180).  Here we have the influence of time and the idea of past, present and future creation

Another interpretation of the triangle on the circle (close enough to the triangle/circle in the formation) comes in the Mayan Oracle: Return Path to the Stars where this symbol is named ?'Resolution of Duality'.  It is described: ?Duality is simply a perception.  Polarities are thought to be
opposites only because of the way we perceive them.  In the collective trance, you have probably been taught to understand polarities from the position of separation and duality.  Duality is the transformational playing field, and it is maintained only by the belief systems held in mass consciousness. As you personally integrate your polarities and transmute your limiting beliefs, your reality is transformed.  As your reality is transformed, collective reality also shifts, revealing a greater reality of inseparable unity? (Spilsbury 153). Here we have an allusion to the idea of transformation brought about by a change in perception.

The crescent is, par excellence, the symbol of the Great Mother, the Feminine Principle. In this formation we see that the crescent holds within its arms, a disk that surrounds the nine-pointed star.  The solar disk with the lunar crescent depicts unity, the two-in-one, or the sacred marriage. In Hindu tradition, which seems prominent along with the Mayan tradition in this formation, the crescent represents the newborn, quick and eager growth. Again we have another hint regarding growth, change and the idea of the duality united in One.

The Nine-pointed star can allude to both the Gayatri Yantra and a Western symbol, the Star of the Muses. 'The Gayatri in any form is a vehicle for awakening, for grace and selflessness, as well as service to this world'.Gayatri is an ancient vigil surrounding the planet. [It] is one of the keynotes for the transformation of consciousness and is an identical vibration to the vital force in nature. The resonance of the Gayatri Mantra is the resonance of the One.......the finest undetectable vibration; primordial universal sound. Uni-Verse means One-Song, One-Verse, resonating unto itself. All phenomena are appearing in the One. We can call it God, we can call it consciousness, we can call it (unconditional) Love ...... ?(xs4all) Once again transformation, consciousness and unity of all appear as key elements for understanding the message of this yantra.

As the Star of the Muses, the nine-pointed inner star represents inspiration granted by divine nymphs whose original form was the three aspects of the Goddess Mnesmosyne or Memory. Once again, consciousness and growth of consciousness, through inspiration, is a key point in this symbol.

The nine 'organic rectangles', as variations of the square, represent the earth  and order as well as the balance of opposites.  In this formation, we see  a lighter outline made by two 'L' shaped elements that surrounds a dark inner rectangle, whose influence seems to 'leak' to the outside. 'Where one square sits inside another, the outer square symbolizes awareness of the physical world, the inner square  the unconscious'  (Bruce-Mitford  104).  In the case of Pewsey formation, the inner unconscious is beginning to erupt into the outer limits, breaking through into consciousness.  Whether this is valid or not as an interpretation, it does fit in to some extent with the whole idea of the Nine Underworlds of the Mayan Calendar  ( see www.calleman.com/content/pyramid_of_consciousness.htm  ).  These Underworlds are stages of evolution from the beginning of the life of eukaryotic cells (approx. 16.4 billion years ago) to the present stages and beyond to October 2011.  At that point, the last, Universal Underworld will have begun.  It will last only 260 days and then herald the transformation of creation as we know it into a New Creation beginning in 2012.  Each Underworld continues to evolve as the new ones begin, so that all dimensions of creation continue growing.

The Pewsey Whitehorse formation, with its three small triangular arrows  pointing from alignment with the points on the inner triangle, outwards along the divisions between the Underworld rectangles and again in alignment with the outer triangles that in turn point outward to the beyond, seems to indicate a potential for infinite growth in all aspects of our existence.  The point of evolution and time itself is to further consciousness.  The whole Mayan Calendar, according to Calleman is to inform us about this process and to assist us in the transformation.  The crop circle phenomenon is also a code assisting us in taking in all the amazing changes our planet and ourselves are undergoing, especially since January 1999 when our Solar System entered into alignment with the Centre of our Milky Way Galaxy.

The elegance and succinct manner with which so much crucial information is conveyed in the Pewsey Whitehorse formation is mind-boggling!! The number three, indicated so many times in the
triangles and as the square root of nine, is a number of action and dynamic, movement. The number nine, signifying completeness and the representation of the Nine Underworlds which are to proceed the New Creation and the identity of Kalki as the tenth avatar and the circle association with the number ten are wonderful depictions of a natural, anticipated and progressive movement,  They collude to present the resolution of our present Earthly existence and its challenges into a new paradigm.  When one understands that the Mayan Calendar indicates an evolution not only of species on Earth, but also of consciousness in time, and that the symbols of the Gayatri Mantra and the Star reinforce this idea, we cannot deny this message from the crop circle artists:  Wake Up!!There's a New World Coming!!
