Reconstruction of the
2004 Honey Street formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Copy circle 1 to its upper intersection with the vertical centerline.

3. Copy circle 1 five times, to the intersections of circles 1 and 2 and progressively to the intersections of the copied circles with circle 1, to form a flower-of-life pattern.

4. Construct a circle centered at the rightmost intersection of the two rightmost circles 3, passing through the intersections of circle 1 and the vertical centerline.

5. Copy circle 4 five times, to the other corresponding intersections of circles 2 and 3, as shown.

6. Construct a circle centered on the vertical centerline, tangent to circles 1 and 2, both at the upper sides.

7. Copy circle 6 to the upper intersection of the two upper circles 5.

8. Construct a circle concentric to upper right circle 5, tangent to circle 7 at the far side.

9. Construct a circle concentric to upper left circle 5, tangent to circle 7 at the far side.

10. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the upper intersection of circles 8 and 9.

11. Draw six rays, from the center of circle 1 to the outermost mutual intersections of circles 4 and 5, and extend these up to circle 10.

12. Copy circle 6 six times, to the intersections of circle 10 and rays 11.

13. Construct a circle centered at the right intersection of circle 4 and the horizontal centerline, tangent to the two rightmost circles 5 at the near sides.

14. Copy circle 13 to the lower intersection of lower circle 3 and the vertical centerline.

15. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 14 at the lower side.

16. Copy circle 13 to the intersection of upper ray 11 and circle 15.

17. Copy circle 13 five times, to the intersections of the other rays 11 and circle 15.

18. Construct a circle concentric to upper circle 12, tangent to circle 16 at the upper side.

19. Copy circle 18 five times, to the centers of the other circles 12.

20. Circles 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 12, 16, 17, 18 and 19 make up all that is necessary for the reconstruction.

21. Leave out all parts not visible in the formation itself.

22. Colour all areas corresponding to standing...

23. ...or to flattened crop. This finishes the reconstruction of the 2004 Honey Street formation.

24. The final result, matched with the aerial image.
