This crop circle was photographed at the bronze age
Devils arrows standing stones site at Boroughbridge in North Yorkshire
on Sunday 3rd August. As you can see from the image the circle sits
between the two standing stones almost spanning the entire width of the
field. A third stone which is the largest of the three is hidden by the
trees across the road. The stones are said to be in alignment with the
Thornborough Henge
monument which lies ten miles north of Boroughbridge.

I also managed to visit
the site of the second Yorkshire circle which has the ghost of the
formation still clearly visible next to the ‘Devil’s Arrows’ at
Boroughbridge. These three gigantic monoliths lie in a line North
East-South West. These stones had been brought from the Knaresborough
district about 2700 BC and despite the fact they stand in a little field
surrounded by roads, houses and the thunderous roar of the A1 motorway
their grandeur cannot be taken away from them. Although they are worn
down by the ravages of time their incredible presence can still be felt

Definitely worth a
visit.

The Devil's Arrows - BoroughBridge
Did you know there's another crop circle in
Yorkshire - this time at the Devils Arrows standing stones? This
monument is the "root" monument of the Swale - Ure plateau
monuments, which focus on Thornborough as the hub.
I found this one reported on The Modern Antiquarian.
