| Reconstruction of the 2002 Silbury Hill formation | ||
| 1. | | Draw a circle. Draw the horizontal and vertical centerlines. |
| 2. | | Construct a circle centered at the upper endpoint of the vertical centerline, passing through the right (and left) endpoint of the horizontal centerline. |
| 3. | | Repeat this three times for the other endpoints of both centerlines. |
| 4. | | Copy circle 2 four times to the outer mutual intersections of circles 2 and 3. |
| 5. | | Construct a circle with its centerline between both intersections of the two upper circles 4. Repeat this for the two lower circles 4. |
| 6. | | Construct a circle concentric with the rightmost circle 3, tangent to upper left circle 4 at the near side. |
| 7. | | Repeat this for the leftmost circle 3, tangent to the upper right circle 4. |
| 8. | | Construct a square, tangent to and enclosing all circles 4. |
| 9. | | Construct the circumscribed circle of square 8. |
| 10. | | Extend the horizontal centerline up to circle 9 to the right. |
| 11. | | Construct the circumscribed square of circle 9 with its sides parallel to those of square 8, as shown. |
| 12. | | Construct the circumscribed circle of square 11. |
| 13. | | Construct a circle centered at the upper right corner of square 8, tangent to the closest circle 4, at the near side. |
| 14. | | Construct a circle, tangent to circle 13 at the upper right side, and tangent to both the right and upper sides of square 11. |
| 15. | | Construct a circle centered at the upper right corner of square 11, tangent to circle 14, at the near side. |
| 16. | | Construct a line, tangent to circles 13 and 15 at their upper left sides. |
| 17. | | Construct a circle concentric to circle 14, tangent to line 16. |
| 18. | | Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the center of circle 17 (and 14). |
| 19. | | Draw the connecting line between the upper right and the lower left corners of square 11. |
| 20. | | Copy circles 13, 15 and 17 to the opposite intersections of line 19 and circles 9, 12 and 18 respectively. |
| 21. | | Draw a line from the right endpoint of the horizontal centerline and the upper left intersection of circles 2 and 3. Repeat this for the left endpoint and the lower right intersection of circles 3. |
| 22. | | Extend both lines 21 up to circle 12, the first to the upper left, the other to the lower right. |
| 23. | | Copy two sets of circles 13, 15 and 17 to the respective intersections of lines 22 and circles 9, 12 and 18. |
| 24. | | Circles 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 13, 15, 17, 20 and 23 together form the basis for the final reconstruction. |
| 25. | | Remove all parts of these circles not visible in the formation. |
| 26. | | Making black all areas corresponding to flattened crop finishes the reconstruction of the 2002 Silbury Hill formation. |
| 27. | | The final result, matched with the aerial image. |
