FIELD REPORT
WHEN DAY GIVES WAY TO NIGHT AT AVEBURY
On the north eastern
side of the embankment of Avebury Stone Circle, is located a
field, which, is notorious for the phenomenon, ever since the
famous 1994 The Web formation. This was the formation that sparked
the start of The Crop Circle Connector web site, so it remains a
field fondly remembered by the Connector team.
In 2002, we have something
very different, and may show us the balance one needs in
researching the crop circle phenomenon. This latest shape has
undeniable representations of the Yin & Yang principle of Chinese
thinking of nature itself. We see the central section of the
pattern the two opposites, with the general rule that the day is
Yang at the top of the symbol. The darker opposite is night and
winter Yin, normally expressed with smaller dots inside. These
were not found in the formation, but we have the very central
circle separating the two opposites. This could be showing the
imbalance that we are experiencing in our society at this time.
Its an interesting observation, not only from a point of view for
humanity, but also from an Earthly perspective.
On the ground, the floor
construction was very impressive. This could be easily seen even
from 500 feet in a micro-light. Small channels of crop around the
formation were also visible, only a few feet across, but a very
unusual feature, was evident around the central portion of the
formation. The crop was placed at a different angle, to the normal
flow. This was only in a small portion of curved crop around the
wall of the inner pattern.
This was the second
formation to appear in this field in 2002, placed some 80 yards
from the early formation
reported in June. This field in particular in full of ley
lines running through into the ancient stone circle, and indeed
running out. There was certainly a calmness within this formation,
which I am in no doubt is partly due to its location close to the
henge itself.
Returning to the potential
meaning of this formation, it does indeed speak to us on different
levels. The world is in chaos at the moment, with world affairs on
the brink of meltdown, and yet these designs continue to form, and
provide a message I am sure for us to comprehend. It’s a shame
they don’t reach people on a wider audience, but we all have our
part to play in providing balance and harmony in our lives, and
hopefully on a global scale. .
