FLYING & FIELD REPORT FOR WEST DOWN
FIVE POINTED STAR FORMATION FORMS ON THE GALLOPS! Click on thumbnail to enlarge Image Stuart Dike Copyright 2001 This whole
flying experience is very new to us at The Crop Circle Connector.
Normally, we are entering every field we can, at this time of year, but
because of the restrictions, we are resigned to the air, but really that
is not come down, just a totally different approach for us at the
Connector. Click on thumbnails to enlarge Image Stuart Dike Copyright 2001 In previous
years, we only have a few minutes of footage, but this year, we have
more than previous years put together.
You will see a lot more aerial shots from us, in the coming
months. Let’s move on to this rather dramatic formation on West Down. We finally managed to enter the formation, situated in an area, not normally used by the |
phenomenon, but extremely welcomed, as
from the ground, it was a rather dramatic
location, with wonderful backdrops, from every angle. This is
primarily due to its careful positioning in the corner of the field, close
to a copse of tress, and a small oval shaped track. You
can also see from Peter Sorensen’s video footage, a circular patch,
which could be a watermark of an ancient structure. Click on thumbnails to enlarge Image Stuart Dike Copyright 2001 Flying on his day, was difficult to say the least. Quite a number of thermals were shaking us around, and the wind was fairly strong. But, we managed to capture this formation from every angle, and a quick distant shot, with the trees.
