Just to report on a new formation in Hertfordshire.  The formation reminds me of a scarab beetle with a sun.  This is much better in design compared with last year in  this area. It is located 2-3 miles w of Hitchin heading along the road   towards Pegsdon on the Barton Rd.  I will send ground photos and report as soon as possible. The scarab I think is laid down in barley.

Reported by Terry.

UPDATE

I finally found and visited the Pegsdon formation today. It is a little untidy inside but from a
distance appears quite concise. The drawing you are currently exhibiting presumably from
Terry is reasonably accurate. It is about 60ft in diameter with a single smaller circle
above it in young barley. There were no obvious signs of entry though I know Terry has visited
it already and no obvious construction signs inside the formation. It is in a field by two
footpaths and well hidden from the road so it is quite tricky to find. Andrew King will hopefully
be flying  this week so an image should all being well reach you at some point.
