WHERE ARE THE CROP CIRCLES? In the last couple of weeks, we have received a number of emails asking us the question "where are the crop circles" I can't give you a a definite answer to this question, but I can raise a few possible reasons for their absence so far this year. Firstly, the last couple of months, have been one of the wettest since records began. This has obviously delayed the sowing of the crops, which has resulted in them being at least a month behind as we write this. Recent trips to Wiltshire and Hampshire have confirmed that the Wheat and Barley is by no means ready to receive any patterns. Also, the quota for Oil Seed Rape is down quite considerably this year, so there are very few of this beautiful flowing fields. Of course, some counties are more advance with their crop growth than others, but I cannot speak for them. We only know of three counties, Somerset, Wiltshire, and Hampshire. These are obviously crop circle counties, and give us a good indication of the stage of the crop, which maybe mirrored across the whole country? Secondly, the last couple of years, have really been something out of the ordinary. I can remember some ten years a go now, that the celebrated 1991 crop circle season, didn't receive its first major formations until mid June. So, it is not unusual for there not to be formations at this time. Patience is what is needed at this time, and hopefully we'll be awarded very soon. Fingers crossed for the month of May!
