Crop: Wheat
Description: Three sided pyramid, circle in centre, ring around outside, circles outer points of pyramid.
Discovery: 20th July 2000

Reported by  Terry Roderick

Today I went hunting the two Crop Circles mentioned in your pages for Pegsdon Hills, near Hitchin. I had the good fortune to meet a young man named Terry there, who showed me not only these two, but also a third one. I believe that he reported the first two, and you will no doubt be hearing
from him, but I thought I'd offer my own report too. Terry said it may be only a few days old.

This crop circle is in perfect condition, a beautiful geometric design, comprising a central large circle, nested inside a triangle, with paths linking into the circle from each corner. The triangle is in turn inside a circular pathway, tangential to which are three smaller flattened stalk circles. These three circles have upright tufts in their centre, but the central circle is tightly nested in the middle. There is some wind damage in the field, but not in the formation itself.

It is visible rather well from the car park at Treasure Grove (? forgot the name) on the road to Lilley. The formation lies alongside the Icknield Way,
on Telegraph Hill. This part of Ickneild Way can be accessed from the car park on the B655 en route to Pegsdon, or by walking across the Wildlife
area around Pegsdon Hills, next to Deacon Hill.
