Well, you have all heard of the phrase "better late than never" and indeed  it was! Around 2 0'clock on the Sunday, we received word of a new formation  at Stanton St Bernard, on the junction towards All Cannings. The weekend was  quickly turning into a disappointing one, with no reports since the 20th of  June, but this latest one was a welcomed event, as we all drove down to  Wiltshire on a overcast Sunday afternoon.

The formation is situated on the junction off the road to All Cannings,  almost in the exact position as the 1999 triple dumbbell design. This time  we have a set of two rings, very simple in form in young wheat. The crop  itself, is still quite underdeveloped, which can create rather messy floor  constructions, but the rings themselves were very lightly imprinted.

When we entered the formation, we both felt the floor lay looked at least  two days old, due to the crop springing back to its original height. The  angle of the crop in places is around 30-40 degrees, but some of the stems  are completely unaffected by the circle making force. The outer ring  measured in at 4.6 metres, with the inner ring measuring just 4 metres in  width. Both rings were flowing in a clockwise rotation, with an overall  diameter of the outer ring being 60 metres, which is exactly 200ft.

A pleasant surprise to see such a simple event, surrounded by the most  complicated of formations. The Circle makers are telling us there is room  for everything in design.
