The spectacular Milton Farm Celtic Cross which appeared July 19th.
The center of the formation is a Neolithic round barrow (!) covered
in nettles. [WARNING, there are several badger holes at the top, which are covered and disguised by the flattened nettles, so one
could easily break an ankle by stepping in one -- as I nearly did!]

This delightful setting, close to the Pewsey White Horse, is one of the most tranquil, and beautiful locations The Crop Circle Connector has had the pleasure of visiting for a formation.
We are all very aware now, that the connection with ancient sites and the phenomenon, is no coincidence. This formation at Milton Farm, has certainly squashed any doubts to anyone who would disagree. It is located on high ground, in a remote spot, surrounded on one side by a wood, which is the actual name of the location. Positioned on a slight incline within the field, this amazing formation included an Iron Age burial mound, as part of the overall design. What is even more extraordinary, is that the actual top of the burial mound has a spiraled pattern of nettles in a clockwise rotation, with a standing centre. However, the spiraled circle on top of the mound has dangerously covered up many badger holes, which made life very difficult walking around to take pole shots of the surrounding formation.
The formation is based on the old Celtic crosses, seen regularly in the eighties and early nineties. But the formation also includes other details from past seasons. In 1989 we had a four-quartered single circle at Winterbourne Stoke near Stonehenge. Many people called it the swastika, which I feel is an injustice, and in this age is politically incorrect. The Everleigh Ashes formation includes basically the same design within each circle, with an outer connecting ring, running in an anti-clockwise rotation.

I have been crop circling since 1990, and have seen literally hundreds of formations, but I can’t remember visiting a formation, which blatantly used an ancient site as part of the design. Many formations have been positioned very close, and have in some cases copied the shape of the site, but not actually used it for the shape itself. History has been made at Everleigh Ashes, which I hope the Circlemakers will once again display for us, before the season closes.
A good friend of mine noticed a very important experience or effect, while he watched the two of us take video shots on top of the burial mound. We had been reasonably quiet, taking shots around the outer ring of the formation, but as we filmed the surrounding formation on the mound, we began to become very loud and joyful, as if our energy levels had been raised considerably while on the mound. My friend noticed this, as he was taking pole shots within one of the circles, and immediately told us as we came down into the formation. A very interesting observation, but the effect was not noticed by Mark, and myself at the time. This tells me, that these locations are hardly experienced by humanity, only by the Farmer as he sows, and harvested the field. It is not surprising that this wonderful formation had a powerful effect on all of us, as it showed us the unison of the past and present, with such beauty and tranquillity.
