Shots showing the "woven" lay of the crop in the circle that appeared
below Adam's Grave on the first morning.
Unfortunately, the sky kept teasing me, pretending it might get
bright so I could get some aerial shots -- but NO! (The JPGs may
look like they were shot in sunlight, but that's just Photoshop!)

BASKET WEAVE CIRCLEMAKERS RETURN IN 2000 At the end of 1999 we discussed in the review of the season, that the Basket Weave formation, just outside of Devizes, was a significant event in the development of the phenomenon. Well, I believe our predictions have been proved correct, as we have seen a return of the Basket Weave floor pattern in the 2000 crop circle season. The range of hills along from Adams Grave are a prime spot for the Circlemakers, since the days of 1990. This particular field in question, has been surprisingly absent of formations. We had a design in 1996, and ugly ducking as far as the community were concerned, but the images below will show that it formed in relatively the same spot as this years design. When we received word of this formation, we became quite excited about the prospect of visiting a Basket Weave design. The formation of 1999 was far more impressive, but we can’t express the disappointment we felt when the news came in that the farmer had cut the formation out of the fields, within hours of its creation. This was a second chance to see this revolutionary type of floor pattern, but its appearance occurred in a rather inclement spell in Wiltshire. Crop Circulating can be a rather frustrating experience, when the weather is awful. This was just the case with regard to the Adam’s Grave formation. I arrived at Alton Barnes one evening after work, to carry out a report on the formation, when suddenly the weather just came in within minutes of my arrival. Extremely low cloud with very poor visibility meant that my evening was a complete disaster, and for other people at this time. the Nibiru planet’ |
brought us into
contact with their own ideas, and other interests. One particular
interest of mine, is the concept that our human history has been
influenced in some way by high technology. One theory that I am
fascinated in, is the story of the Annunaki, who were the Sumerian gods
of old. This latest formation at Adams Grave, is a direct relationship
to the Nibiru planet, which according to the writings of the Sumerians,
is were the Annunaki originate from. Its an intriguing correlation, as
the Nubirian planet is the rogue planetary body which is said to have
over a 3000 year orbit around our own sun. The planet also has nine
moonlets, which is the exactly the same number of grapeshot circles that
accompanies the large circle. I felt this had to be mentioned, as the
connection was very powerful, and perhaps indicates a return of interest
in this subject. Click on thumbnails to enlarge ‘Indeed, the pattern itself is extremely complex, and was created with breathtaking skill’ Each grapeshot were placed in a meandering line below the circle itself, looking down the hill. The circles themselves were extremely neat in appearance, with small standing tufts of crop in their centres. The large circle itself, ha a crisscross pattern of layered weaving, very similar to the technique used within the 1999 formation just outside of Devizes. This pattern was the first time we have seen the weave since last year, and is now regarded as a major progression of floor patterns by the Circlemakers. Indeed, the pattern itself is extremely complex, and was created with breathtaking skill. Click on thumbnails to enlarge It is very important for us not to dismiss the smaller less
impressive formation/circles that appear, when more elaborate impressive
designs are appearing also. The Circlemakers create a whole variety of
patterns, which they feel is needed at the time. This interesting design
at Adam’s Grave, may not have had the visitors it probably deserved,
but was an excellent addition to the 2000 crop circle season, and showed
us that the Basket Weave was certainly not a one hit wonder at Devizes! Image & Report by Stuart Dike Copyright 2000 |
