Field Report

Reported to me by Christine Saltmarshe, it is the first time I have seen two formations in one field. Formation 1 is located on the brow of the field rise on the A45 on the way out of Great Staughton. It is a ring with a circle incorporated into it leaving a standing crescent. The edges are tidy and laid clockwise. I would guess the formation is over a week old as the crop (mature wheat) is growing back . It is located just under the electricity Transmission lines. There are signs of entry to the formations but I know people have already visited it. The second ring is located just over the brow of the hill. It is smaller than the first and was a pleasant surprise particularly as I could find no signs of entry. It is only a metre wide in the laid crop but in many ways is more mysterious than it's near neighbour . It is also laid clockwise and is very tidy. Formation 1 is a slightly smaller and less impressive version of the Duloe formation of 1996. The field opposite has extensive wind damage the only one in the area.
