Dorchester, Dorset. Reported Tuesday 21st July.

Have just seen a formation next to the A35 about 2 miles east of Dorchester at the top of a field nearly opposite the public toilets in the lay-by. It looks like a circle with five? petals inside and is easily seen from the road.

A new formation approximately 1and a half miles East of Dorchester on the A35. In wheat a large "flower" five petals, centre flattened crop and petals surrounded by a ring. Formation size approx. 150ft in diameter. It has not been photographed yet. The farmer blames the local agriculture college which is 2 miles away.  the Dorchester one on Tuesday 21st July.

The Leeds area

I saw a simple formation of a filled circle surrounded by another one (as far as I can remember on the 30th of June. It was about 7-8 miles south of Leeds and was visible from the M1 on the western side. I don't know if you are aware of it already.

Dave Smith

Just returned from British Isles, and on the last day of the trip, 8/2/98, on the coach, M1 just 1-3 miles North of the A61 turnoff,  between Leeds and Sheffield, in Derbyshire (?), West side of highway,  field right next to the M1, a crop circle. No one standing around, or  vehicles parked. My husband and I the only ones on our coach who saw  it, apparently, as we went by it so quickly. Didn't get a detailed look because of short time, but it was a circle, less than l00 yds. diameter I would guess, with at least 6 smaller circles intersecting the circumference, several inner rings, and not sure how many smaller circles, or their pattern, within the large circle.

Hi, just thought Id contact you about a circle Just off the A303 at Bower Hinton that I saw last Monday afternoon returning from Devon, easily seen from the road . Regards Ian Broadmore

York and Leeds

I would like to report a sighting. It was sighted yesterday 10th July 1998 on the A64 between York and Leeds I was driving in a truck and unable to stop and by the time I realised what I had seen I was passed the site then we may have seen another a few hundred yards passed it All I can tell you is that it was on the left hand side of the A64 and near to a roundabout

Jim Kimpton

Comments on Jim Knapton`s sighting of a formation on the  A64 near York, near the Grimston Bar entrance to York at the
A1079 interchange. This is a `Telly Tubby` formation. We have  visited it and regret a total hoax - not a scrap of energy in
it anywhere: breaks all the known rules.

Fressingfield, Suffolk

On Saturday 4th July my wife & I saw a very simple circle pair in a ?wheat field near Fressingfield, Suffolk. It consisted of a larger & smaller circle (?20yds & 10yds dia) joined by a straight narrow strip. We didn't have time to inspect it at close quarters; we were about 400yds away on a road. I'm uninformed about circle distribution, but haven't yet heard of circles in E Anglia. Yours, Tim Paine.

Devon

Another major design has also been found in Devon to the south west, and is
thought to have been formed the same night.
