This formation, obviously similar to the "Clanfield Brooch," appeared in wheat near Fareham, Hampshire, on July 17th.  The 220 foot design suggests the microscopic sea creatures which compose the chalk that is so prevalent in England.  Recent work by Steven Page & Glenn Broughton shows that crop circles frequently occur where chalk and greensand hold underground water.

We saw a formation today, in case you haven't heard of it I thought  we'd let you know, it's alongside the M27 in Hampshire,
at Fareham, on the south side of the motorway, just past the exit for the A32, going west. Presumably this is an interesting location because  not only are the cars going by all day and most of the night, but there's also houses looking down the slope onto the site, only about 50 metres away or so.
