This is a side of the Crop Circle phenomenon, which seems to be becoming increasingly more apparent in the last couple of years. Many companies are recognising the power of the phenomenon to advertise their products. Mitsubishi, the Japanese car manufactures are the latest to commission a group of artists to promote their latest model. The location for this design was what I call "The Sanctuary" for the phenomenon East Field/Alton Barnes area. A number people felt it was inappropriate for the Crop Circle phenomenon and was not complimentary towards other designs we have experienced this season. It was a venture motivated for money (we guess) but we have to consider the value of producing material subjects, when the phenomenon could be pushing us away from such everyday desires. This is of course just my opinion, and may not be viewed in the same way by others, but I am sure other companies may use the Crop Circles for future advertising projects. Yes, it can promote the phenomenon to a wider audience, but if we are trying to spread the designs to individuals who may not have considered the crop circles as a sign of change, then promoting in this fashion I feel is not the answer.

An open letter by Peter Sorenson describing the bizarre correlation between the Koch designs from this year, and Mitsubishi, the car company who commissioned the East Field Car formation. Is there an unknown intelligence with a cosmic sense of humour taking place within the fields?
