At last....

Sussex has it's first formation of 1998.

A single circle of approximately 30 feet at Saltdean, East Sussex.

Photographed from the air by Mike Hubbard on Sunday 2nd August 1998.

Still to be pin-pointed on the ground as it's on the South Downs in a very large open area which cannot be looked down on.

This immediate area (possibly the same field) has had two other formations in recent years. In 1996 (7th August) there was a dumbbell where one circle was very small (the 7th Sussex formation that year) and in 1995 (2nd July) there was the infamous stick man (also the 7th Sussex formation of that year) with rude word - the circle was most likely genuine with added graffiti.
