More lunar phase symbols shown at Danesbury in August of 1998

Yet another "lunar phase diagram" appeared at Danesbury Ring on August 2, 1998, confirming again the true meaning of those lunar phase symbols shown at Stonehenge 1996, Windmill Hill 1996 and Milk Hill 2001.

There are approximately twelve and one-third full Moons in any solar year, since any lunar phase cycle proceeds for 29.53 days, and so (365.25 / 29.53) = 12.368.

That relation was very important to ancient people, because it would lead to approximately (3 x 12.333) = 37 full Moons in three solar years:

Their 19-year Metonic cycle, which counted 235 full Moons or (235 / 19) = 12.386 per solar year, was even more accurate (www.mythicalireland.com/astronomy/moonmovements/metoniccycle.html).

RED COLLIE

THE NINE

This beautiful formation arrived near Danebury Ring Hill fort, in late July or early August, in wheat.  The 160 foot design is surrounded by circles which play games with the number six, seven, eight and nine. Researchers Ed Sherwood has recently written about the importance of Nine in the circle phenomenon.  There is a 1994-style "Thought bubble/Scorpion" in the same field, making a total of four formations in the Danebury area now!
