A Field Report.
The formation itself can be seen heading south from Stratford on the B4632. The formation is visible at approximately 2 miles along the B4632 on the left side and is placed on a hill two/three fields back from the road. It is important to note that the formation has appeared within 1.5 miles of the Phoenix Festival (an alternative music festival attracting 20,000 people) and it is visible to those entering the festival from this road.
Anyone who follows the Crop Circle Connector will know that in 1995 a beautiful formation appeared close to the festival in the shape of an eye. I later made the connection between the formation and the logo of a band called Pitchshifter who played at the festival.
The 1997 formation is located in a position that has been planned out. Access to the site means driving to the back of the fields where the circle is located (several miles) and locating it is not easy as there are lots of small unclassified lanes, with no direct view of the circle. Who ever made the formation, put it in this location to be viewed from the festival road.
The formation is located 15 metres from a public footpath that runs straight through the field. After entering the field I recognised the formation as being an exact replica of the logo used by a Birmingham band called the Sneaker Pimps, who were playing the festival that night!!!! The formation itself is one of the best I have ever viewed, the crop flowed magnificently and was just....perfect! The linchpin of the formation has to be the circle incorporated into the main loop, words cannot describe the precision and beauty! Looking up, one could see the distant lights of the festival, shimmering in the last of the days heat. The formation is approximately 65m*40m and has involved the flattening of a large amount of crop on a very steep hill.
It would seem that this formation has come from the same circlemaking `stable` as the `quality` formations down in Wiltshire as the flow and precision are very similar. Who ever made it is certainly no novice...I take my hat of to them. It also reminds me of the 1995 Phoenix circle (same type of flow).
So, this leaves us with a few questions:
Why would something other than mankind want to create the logo of a Birmingham band called the `Sneaker Pimps` in a field close to the Phoenix Festival where they are playing?
By looking at the evidence and circumstances logically and reasonably, it is more than feasible that the formation has been created by a human/s. If this is true, then the evidence in the formation would suggest that it is possible for humans to create a piece of work that is simply beautiful. A beauty that we have seen many times in the fields before.......
As this is a formation where we can recognise its human connections (Sneaker Pimps and the connection to Phoenix), it increases the possibility that the formation has been man-made and therefore allows us to view what maybe be created by human hand (foot!) and compare with other formations.
It also has to be asked, why the Sneaker Pimps? Especially when Aphex Twin (who has a far better logo) was also appearing.
Oh, and by the way. Judging from the guy who stood in the middle of the B4632 in a gold sequin suit for over an hour with his arms out, the acid looks good this year!
After speaking to a farmer I have been told it appeared between 2230 Tuesday 15th July and 0600 Wednesday 16th July.

Couldn't see it listed on your site, so thought you'd like to know that there's a large "pictogram" on the left hand side of the B4632, about 1-2 miles out of Stratford-upon-Avon. Keep up the good work.
