Simple circle near Chiseldon; visited Aug. 1st 97.

You will see a very simple circle when you leave A346 at the last small street before you enter Chiseldon to the right. A farm building is at the corner. The circle you see has a diameter of ca. 20 m. Its lay in wheat. I've been in the formation at the 1st of August from 11 a.m. to 1 PM. Other people said that it was 1 day old then. The crop in the circle was lay in a beautiful and complicated way. The centre of the circle pattern was not in the geometrical center. It was shifted about 1,5 m to the south-west.

A ring of crop inside the circle but at the outer edge was lay clockwise. The crop inside the circle started from the CENTER and was divided into two parts divided into a east and a west part. The western part was oriented in north direction and the other part to south. The global design of the pattern reminded my on the typical Yin and Yang pattern. It pattern was laid in "waves". The crop was partially interwoven with crop ring at the edge. I found a pathway under the crop going from the centre to the south and to the north edge. The underlying path was interlaced with the outer ring.

The crop was not pressed to the ground as it can be seen in older formations. It was like a smooth carpet which was about 5-10 thick.
