Consisting of three varying width rings surrounding a central circle, not having reasonable measuring tools I would estimate the overall diameter of 60-70ft. The Crop was Wheat and all the lays were clockwise in rotation, with the centre circle displaying a definite spiral swirl.
Measurements were placed out giving the centre circle a dia of 12-13ft 1st upright ring approx. 2ft wide, laid ring 3ft, upright 3ft wide, laid ring 3ft wide, upright 6ft and the final laid ring at 6ft wide.
There were no trails into the formation, so any access has been via the tractor lines.
During our visit we spoke to the farmers wife on site, she was of the opinion that it was man-made, not on the basis of any proof but simply because it was there. According to this lady it was about a week old, however I beg to differ, as there were a lot of young stalks that had strong nodal bending, because they were trying to grow towards the light. (Phototropism) These stalks were so young they were very green. One could not use the white bloom on the stalks as any evidence either, people has been into the formation so any virgin evidence in that respect was not valid.
So far there have been no reports of unusual aerial activity in this area, except the local press which quoted an expert as saying that such formations were UFO landing marks!! (excuse me). Where do the media find these people, who are willing to make such asinine statements.
There is at the moment a cutting from the Hampshire paper on the board at The Barge, when this lady psychic was asked for an opinion after dowsing and doing other things at a locally arrived formation she was quoted as stating, "it cannot be
