There is a formation in wheat consisting of 19(?) circles of various sizes in a basic pentagon shape with 3 fractal-like arms. An aerial shot is needed urgently. The formation is approximately 2 months old and has been much-visited. Spotted on 17th August.

Have just returned from the Cuxton formation. Andrew will be sending you a report with photo (taken from microlight) to follow s.a.p. It was difficult to estimate how long ago this formation went down. Crop had lifted so it was not easy to determine how much of this was standing corn within the formation.
Reported by Joyce Galley.
The formation consists of 21 circles, all quite lightly laid with large number of standing stems. It is estimated to have appeared some 8 weeks previously, but evidently after the wheat was mature as the under-lays had not rotted but were of the same maturity as those above. The formation had suffered some weather damage and apparent regrowth, so is not very clearly delineated. 12 of the circles are set in a ring, of approx. diameter 145 feet centre to centre, alternating 30 and 46 feet in diameter, with three sets of three circles curving outwards from every other 46' circle, these having mean diameters, from the inside outwards of 30, 21 and 11.5 feet. All circles are swirled clockwise The formation is on a slight slope and easily seen from Bush Road out of Cuxton, which is just off the A228 west of Strood. It is in very close proximity to a Southern Water pumping station, and estimated to be close to the place where the water is extracted from the chalk aquifer, some 90 metres below the surface.
CCCS Kent member Tom Baker who also reported the formation spoke to the owner of a kennels on the other side of the road who noted that all the dogs started barking furiously at 2.00 in the morning 2 months ago which is when the formation appeared; although their burglar alarm system, which is set at night, did not go off.
