A Field Report.

Located on a small hillside close to the ancient Hill Fort on Stanonbury Hill, are a trio of circles and rings, placed in a triangular arrangement, overlooking the Wansdyke Valley.

The first circle has an outer ring, which is 5ft in width, the circle inside the ring is 50ft in diameter, with a clockwise rotation. From their initial appearance, I can only conclude that they have been there for atleast two weeks. The crop is very ripe, which can produce a messy floor pattern, and people have already visited it, although they are situated on a very quiet country lane.

The second circle is located at the top just above the ringed circle. Its rotation is clockwise again, but has an underlying pathway, which runs from the edge of the circle to the centre, then runs to the edge of the circle again, in the direction of the neighbouring single ring. This circle is 62ft in diameter.

The single ring placed next to the circle is again about the same diameter as the single circle, but has counter rotation around the outer perimeter of the ring, then the crop changes direction in a clockwise direction to make the rest of the ring. An unusual pathway seems to be the work of people, walking into the standing crop for the central section of the ring.

Overall it was nice to have some local circles close to my home, I am a little disappointed that I wasn't able to get to see them sooner.
