Cissbury Ring, West Sussex. Reported July 22nd 1997

Updated Thursday 18th December 1997

This pattern which appeared on the banks of the Hillfort Cissbury Ring, is a possible grass cut scrub land Maze. It resembles similar designs in Germany in 1997, and could indicate the designs on the future in the fields?

The Sussex team asked the question, if it was a man-made Maze, or part of the phenomenon. If it is the CircleMakers then we are witnessing a possible shift in their intentions.

It is purely Land Art, but might have significance for the continuing progression of the phenomenon. The design itself also has an ancient carving aspect, similar to designs at Newgrange in Ireland.
