The Ant, hatched in Hen Wood (Meon Valley), July 17th, in wheat, 100+ feet long, researchers report a beautiful lay and thousands of standings stalks. It is not an "insectagram" in the traditional sense - those formations were different, more abstract and lyrical.

A field report by the Crop Circle Connector.

Situated within the Meon Valley close to the village of West Meon, is what can be described as an insect type design, some calling The Ant. From the photographs you can see why it's attracted this name. It's located on a sloping field below the woodland of Hen Wood, and very close to the Ancient Hill Fort of Old Winchester Hill.

To say that this area is picturesque would be an understatement, its quite breathtaking to this formation from the other side of the valley. It's located only a mile way from the Teglese Down formation, and both can be seen from the Warnford to HMS Mercury road.

The design incorporates six legs, with a three portion body comprising of a large head circle with two antenna's protruding. The floor pattern consists of three anti clockwise circles, and a lower section of the body, in a shape of a spear head. This completed the body component of the insect, and was again rotating in an anti clockwise direction.

An extremely neat design, and placed very carefully within the surrounding landscape, this is an aspect of the phenomenon which is very important in understanding the objective of the CircleMakers.

Please ask permission to enter this formation, the Farm is Whitewood Farm, and is situated at the bottom of the road on Henwood Down.
