This most spectacular formation yet appeared North-West of Avebury on July 29th. The Diameter is probably more than 500 feet. The crop is wheat. It has a record 194 circles; the one with the "S" has a beautiful reversing swirl. A thin underlying construction line occasionally comes up over the lay of the circle. This diagram is based on aerial observation, not a ground survey. It is the most difficult I've ever done!

Crop Type: Wheat.
Location: On the slopes of Windmill Hill facing A4.
Many surprises have emanated from the phenomenon this year, not only from the shear quality on the floor patterns but the enormous scale of the designs.
The formation at Windmill Hill can be summed up in one word AWESOME!. The design is based on the Stonehenge Factual, which formed over three weeks ago. It's most definitely a progression from that shape, with two further arms, making three in total, positioned in a spiralled pattern. It located on the slopes of the ancient Hillfort of Windmill Hill, and is atleast 1000 feet in diameter. (This includes the expansion of the spiralling arms).
An astonishing 194 circles complete this vast design, with the same positioning of the circles on each arm, until you reach the small diminishing circles on the end, that finishes only a couple of feet in dia.
Every conceivable centre that has appeared within Crop Circles since they began was included in the design. This incorporated standing centres that were on the main arm circles spiralling into the central section. Small bushed nest centres, that were dotted around the formation in certain circles, and the wonderful fan centres, that were exceptional in their construction.
In fact the overall floor pattern of the entire formation, was the best example I have seen in seven years of Crop Circling. I really couldn't believe what I was looking at, the formation was masterly in appearance. An underlying pathway connected all the circles which was evident on each arm, but this constructional blueprint needed to be carried out to produce the angles required for the overall geometry.
Each circle was separated by standing crop, just like the Stonehenge formation, until you reached the smaller diminishing circles which flowed into each other. The smaller circles were fascinating, as bunches of crop were forking into the surrounding wall of the circles. Each bunch was overlaid on top of the next, as if it was flattened in stages, instead of one overall movement.
What more can I say than Magnificent! Can we expect something bigger in the next couple of weeks? if so then the phenomenon truly has reinstated itself as the greatest mystery of the nineties!
