Large anti-clockwise circle, in oilseed rape, approx. 18 meters in diameter, with a curved, tapering corridor leading from it, which terminates into a smaller circle. Nearby, there are two grapeshot circles, connected to each other by a weaving, curved pathway. Well defined edges, though many standing stalks in the whole formation. Stem breakage minimal. Location: Across the road from a field which was patterned with a large pictogram in 1995, near Sollom, Lancashire. Very close to electricity pylons, barely visible from roads or paths, some distance from nearest buildings. Grid reference. SD469194.
The first genuine Crop Circle at Girton near Cambridge came with a very weak energy force, it's spiders web of natural radial and concentric earth energy was only about 10% of the expected levels. This natural pattern in genuine Crop Circles has over the years, been a strong power source, yet this summer the first genuine Crop Circles came with nothing like the normal level of power. Ancient sites around the country have shown the same decrease of natural energy, and it all happened during May 12-15 in all parts of the UK.
Before May, all the old ancient sites with Spiders Webs of concentric and radial energy lines at their centres, showed the normal strong power levels. By the middle of the month, they had lost 90% of their power, but both the country and the planet have undergone a great change in their natural power structures.
I can say this with great confidence, since another genuine Crop Circle at Sollom has appeared with this very weak earth energy pattern, almost mimicking the Spiders Web pattern of radial lines at Girton. This must mean that we should expect all genuine Crop Circles this year to come with this reduced natural power levels.
The Sollom, Lancs Crop Circle was reported May 23rd, in Oil Seed Rape, very close to the genuine pictogram that appeared in the adjacent field last year. The First report came with unclear details of size and contents of the Crop Circle, so when I visited the area, I never really knew what to expect.
I visited the formation on Friday the 8th of June, a day I shall remember for it's rain and Thunderstorms, not the best time to look for Crop Circles in 5-6ft high Oil Seed Rape. When I reached the field I could not see any formation from the road, or from the nearby bridge, but a weak Spiders Web of natural earth energy was coming from the area. This was enough to convince me to find the farmer and ask for permission to check out the field. I was granted permission to enter from the farm manager.
The formation was atleast two weeks old, and the Spiders Web energy was very weak, there was no sign of it from the road., With the soaking Rape plants 6ft high in places, you sometimes wonder why you do this. I thought it would be best, after my reservations to walk around the field and try and pin point where the power was coming from, but it was hardly detectable making my job very difficult. After walking around the best part of the field, I realised the power was close to where my car was parked, and were I had entered the field.
The sky was getting darker all the while, and the flashes of lightning to the south really made my day, could things get any worse I thought, would I only be remembered as the CCCS member found rather overdone near a genuine Crop Circle in Sollom. With the storm coming my way, I decided to walk across the field through the Rape, I started to dowse where the formation was, and walked along the tram line with both fingers crossed.
I walked right across the field almost dowsing something in front of me which would be the Crop Circle I hoped, sure enough there it was, about 50 yards from the main road. The circle was only visible from very close range, as the crop was so high.
The central floor pattern was recovering towards the light, with the Circle measuring 21 feet across it's diameter, and a crop wall on the side appearing very neat. The Circle dowsed very well with concentric and radial earth energy lines from it's centre. Its absorbed aura in the crop heads was 34 feet at its wall edge. It would have been a very neat tidy circle when it was first reported some three weeks ago, but it certainly dowsed very genuine. It's lay structure would have been part of the same ley line which had a part to play in constructing last years pictogram, the weather and conditions stopped me from proving it.
I never counted its natural power structure in concentric and radial lines, they were there, but the storm and the rain was getting the better of me. Two grape shots and a spiral path had been mentioned in the report, I did see some marks, but the storm chased me from the field. I was in no doubt that the 21ft circle was genuine, and may have been linked with last years, this is something which happens very often with the phenomenon.
