Research into the infra red spectrum of the crop circle phenomenon

By Freddy Silver.

I have been conducting research into the infra red spectrum of the crop circle phenomenon for some time, primarily as a way to reinforce the microwave theory that has been popular among researchers as a probable method of `construction' and, secondarily, to see if this technique could be useful in adding yet another method to determine the authenticity of formations.

Infra red film, as a quick explanation, picks up heat in vegetation. The higher the heat released or stored in plants, the redder these areas appear on film. Subsequently, green broad-leaf plants and trees appear bright red; healthy wheat tends to show up as yellow/orange.

Following very favourable results from last year in which genuine formations showed major discrepancies compared to planned hoaxes (unbeknown to me at the time), I repeated the experiments.

Photo A is the mother of all infra red photos. With thanks to Patrick Harris for the generous loan of his hand, it clearly shows an abnormal display of heat being generated along the stem of the wheat, especially around the bent nodes. This was taken at Windmill Hill 1 day after `touchdown'. A week later, it may be of interest to note, the infra red levels in the genuine formations are noticeably lower.

Photo B shows the stunning floor lay of the Chiseldon `Sanskrit' 1 day old.

Photo C is the floor of the companion `mini-Julia' at Chiseldon.

In photo D, there are no signs of heat distortion in the plants whatsoever (except for the weed which shows up as normal in red, top left). This is the much disputed Oliver's Castle formation shot 1 day after appearing. Notice also how messy the floor lay is already for a fresh formation. There was also little in terms of signs of authenticity. Likewise.

Photo E, from the same formation shows no heat disruption, a lot of mess, and note how the path does not line-up on the other end of the circle. Based on first-hand information performed the day after its appearance I have great reservations regarding its authenticity but will keep an open mind until further test results from Colin Andrews, Dr. Levengood and all other fellow researchers have been explored.

Hope this was of interest to you all.

If anyone would like to contribute any further information regarding this area of research, I will be more than happy to share whatever notes I have.

Be well.
Freddy Silva

PS- I would also like to investigate the area of sound, particularly music, as related to the crop circles to explore any potential curative and communicative benefits for humanity (hey, why not go for the big goal!). If you have any research into this area please don't be shy about getting in touch.

Thanks to Mark and Stuart for allowing me this space and for doing us all a great service with their site.

The K2 CROP CIRCULAR

Freddy Silva's long-awaited Web site, The K2 CROP CIRCULAR, is now up. The site will over time be the companion site to Crop Circle Connector, but based in the US. It is filled with news, views, research and art photos, with a section on Colin Andrews, and featuring the work of leading researchers such as Gerald Hawkins. All researchers are welcome to contribute information. But please, NO EGOS and NO POSTURING. Links welcomed. The opening features a special report on the Olivers Castle incident by the two people initially contacted by John Weyleigh. The complete true story is featured here for the first time EVER.
