Proof by Peter Sorensen on the Oliver`s Castle Video.

Updated Wednesday 30th October 1996

We have contacted the famous Peter Sorenson, and he makes the comment that he has stated before that in the video there are video frames. but unlike in film frames, each video frame has two fields, basically the interlace of the lines is from top to bottom on one, then bottom to top on the next.. So you can have a 30 FRAMES PER SEC VIDEO that actually has 60 fields per sec.

Now, in film animation, one moves the object that is being animated from place to place on the drawing board (over which is a camera) with each frame, then click, move,click,move,click,move,click.... OK?

In video, a common technique is to also move-click-move-click for each frame AND NOT FOR EACH FIELD.

In real-time videotaping of a real moving object, say, your cat, for instance the kitty is seem to change position from field to field.

(two fields=1 frame)

Now, according to Peter, with the OC Video, the BOLS DO NOT move from field to field, but do move from frame to frame.
