This formation appeared at Longparish, Hampshire. It is in wheat. The formation is centred on a tramline running approximately NW/SE, and consists of an anticlockwise circle (av. dia. 75') with appendages, which are: at the NW end (and following the tramline) a 50' pathway with three 20' x 4' boxes crossing it at right-angles; at the SE end a 30' path (also along the tramline) crossed by two boxes , not so symmetrical, the end one having extensions which turn back at right-angles towards the circle. Flow of crop in paths - outwards from circle; boxes - away from path. On the NE side, just touching the circle is a diamond shape and at the SW side are three long boxes (at a tangent to the circle). While conducting my survey (23/8/96) I filmed a total of six deer who were watching me. I got as close as four feet to one of them, down in the wheat, before it suddenly leapt up and galloped away. I filmed the shape it had left. It is now documented that deer can produce "radial-burst" grapeshot!
