The Crop type= Barley
Visible from the minor road on your left just as you have left Goodworth Clatford and going towards Upper Clatford. It has a central circle followed by two concentric rings. There are then 3 more rings of uneven thickness that show a wavy pattern that is difficult to describe. I think it is a pentagonal design. I am sure someone will fly over it and take a photograph of it. The whole formation is about 80ft in diameter. The part of the formation I found most impressive is the heart A shaped signature 28 or grapeshot 29 just below it. I have never seen this before.
Reported by Jeremy Kay
Busty Taylor has already photographed his formation. It is very old and has now recovered. The farmer wishes no one else to enter this formation. We would like to say Please Do Not enter this formation from NOW on.

THE ROSE
Near Goodworth Clatford (South Of Andover),
Mid-June. Barley? 75 ft?
Even more than a flower, this unique design resembles a "cymatic" pattern
(geometric figures that form on liquid surfaces subject to vibration). Despite superficial
similarities with last year's Danebury and Punchbowl formations, I feel this one is in
altogether superior geometric and artistic categories. A small half-circle of inferior
quality is nearby.
