Reported to Crop Circle Connector by Russell Stannard on 7th August.
Map ref. : TL073297

Image by Russell Stannard. Copyright 1996. This formation is near the southern end of the Barton-le-Clay by-pass in Bedfordshire. It is the best formation in this area this year.
The five circles are swirled clockwise. The "fans" coming out of the centre three circles are very similar to the petals in the Saffron Walden (Audley End) formation.
The formation is just under a week old when photographed on the 6th August. I do not know the exact date the formation was created.
This shows a close up of the formation itself.

The Celtic Brooch.
This unusual design, suggestive of Celtic
art, appeared near Luton, Bedfordshire; early August, in wheat. It is very large,
something in the 500 feet ballpark, but in photos its bold design gives the illusion that
it's smaller. From a photo by Steve Alexander.
