This large double ringed circles arrived on the 11th of June 1988 in the High Warren Field on the Longwood Estate near Winchester, Hampshire.
The rings were unusually irregular and five smaller circles were nearby in the same field.
As the green wheat changed colour as the season progressed through shades of green into golden yellow, a darker coloured line became visible from the centre of the formation stretching across the entire field and across the landscape towards the village of Kilmeston. Some very strange things began to occur during these same weeks in and around the village - all of the happenings fell onto the same line. Trees died and a large crack appeared on the end of a 400 year old country mansion also on the line. The house had to be held up with large timbers, as the end wall began to fall out. Roses and other ornamental trees also died in a line heading back towards the crop formation to the north east. The owner of the mansion heard a loud explosion and watched in amazement as a metal cattle trough, containing approximately 80 gallons of water, lifted off its moorings in the nearby field and catapulted through the air, hitting her fence at the end of the garden.
The line concerned was strongly dowsable from the centre of the crop formation and had been so from the time it first appeared and remained that way until that same alignment became visible.
A great deal of research was carried out here with Richard and Colin Andrews spending much time in the nearby village and with the owner of the mansion. The well known family who lived in the mansion had further serious personal problems with one of them becoming extremely ill. This person slept in a bed which was positioned on the mysterious line.
As you know I am working on old data at this time and have come across a photo which shows the straight line across the field towards Kilmeston. I have video also which was taken much later when the plants were yellow and the line shows up MUCH more clearly, but I do not have a video grab facility.
For now I think this shot should accompany that write up - to support what I say. I think the case was very important.

I have also come across the paper cutting which refers to the man who went crazy, who lived in the house which was on that same line. The old house eventually cracked apart with the end wall falling out. Trees also died along this line, which terminated at the centre of the double ringed circle. It is very hard to explain away something like this.
