This was discovered by farmer, Mr. Charles Hall at Corhampton, Hampshire, Grid Reference: SU 59652210.
The field of barley was being checked for rogue weeds on the 7th June 1988 when Mr. Hall found himself walking into a large circle, one of three forming an equilateral triangle. The formation was centered upon a tractor tyre line (tramline) and each circle consisted of the familiar swirled plants.
After several visits by the CPR team, Busty Taylor and Colin Andrews took a second flight over the formation, to take further photographs. When they looked down the saw a new effect. Within each circle, the plants had grown into a "dart board" kind of design. There were seven concentric rings and forty eight radiating spokes from the centre of each circle.
